MORNING OVER THE DALMATIAN COAST

Vrulja cove (Uvala Vrulja) is situated between Pisac and Yakirusha villages, forty kilometres south of Split. For the motorists who drive frequently along the Croatia Dalmatian coast the place is a very familiar — there is a spectacular sea view from the road over the bay, and people so looking forward to seeing it, when driving there again.

During my last journey to Croatia I decided to look at this lovely place from a different perspective. In the morning I climbed to Gradina ridge, that overlooks the bay (642 m.a.s.l.). Sure, from above the landscape is even more beautiful than from the road, especially in the morning light. You can see well the Biokovo mountain and the resort region Makarska Riviera below it. In the north-east one can see the canyon of Cetina river, and on the opposite side Brac island is located.
